#FoodOscars 2016 at The Malton Hotel, Killarney
The annual #foodoscars of The Irish Restaurant Awards 2016 took place on Tuesday 8th March 2016 celebrating the best of what Munster has to offer in food, wine & Irish hospitality.
Having won “Best Wine Experience” last year it is with great appreciation that we have retained our title in 2016.

This award signifies the best overall customer service – it is awarded to the establishment that goes above and beyond the call of duty to its customers and does so in a consistent and appropriate manner.
Best Newcomer – Coqbull
This award represents the best break-through establishment that has been in operation for less than 12 months – offering an impressive dining experience, excellent menu and has had significant impact in the industry within a short time.
Best Gastro Pub – The Curragower
This award identifies the gastro pub that offers an impressive selection of food and drinks which suitably complement each other, whilst providing a distinctive and atmospheric dining experience.
Best World Cusine – Taikichi
This award represents the restaurant that displays a genuine commitment to actively influencing the future of Irish cuisine by encouraging us to try something new, while simultaneously reminding us of our heritage.
Best Café – The Sage Café
This award represents the establishment that strives to provide the best coffee and dining experience, using ethically sourced ingredients and delivering outstanding customer service.
