With summer time now a distant memory we look forward to welcoming you to No.1 this Autumn. We have a lot in store before we start to prepare our country house for the winter and Christmas. I.NY Festival | October 5th – 15th
Over 11 days in October, I.NY explores and celebrates this deep and vibrant connection between Ireland and New York City. No.1 Pery Square is proud to be an official hotel sponsor of this unique cultural event.
This festival invites artists, writers, musicians, designers, educators, entrepreneurs and more to tell the story of how the Ireland New York relationship has impacted their personal, professional and creative lives.
It invites as well an audience, from home and abroad, to share their own stories, hear those shared by others, and experience the broader Ireland New York story through a diverse programme of cultural events.
Geraldine Sadlier Art Exhibition | October 5th – 15th
Geraldine Sadlier was born in Limerick, Ireland. Educated at the Salesian Convent Fernbank, she graduated from the Limerick School of Art and Design.
She has been living in Villefranche sur mer in the South of France for nearly 30 years and regularly returns to her native city.

Culture & Chips – Sherry/ Fish & Chips Tasting | October 12th
Bet you didn’t know how good chips and sherry work together. Come along to Sash Restaurant at No.1 Pery Square Hotel & Spa and find out more from the expert Sinéad Cabot. Enjoy some fine sherry and the humble potato chip.

Culture & Chips – Craft Workshop with Tara Maloney | October 15th
Autumn feast time is here and it’s time to warm your door with the colours and the bountiful fruits of the season. As Halloween approaches, it’s the perfect time to adorn your home with a seasonal decorative touch. This wreath workshop will show you how to create your own edible autumnal beauty with a base made of rosemary, by adding a selection of fruits, pods and other herbs, you’ll end up with something that is truly, good enough to eat!
Using all natural and dried materials, it will be preserved for many years to come, and may provide a handy source of seasonal flavourings for the avid cook, or with a few additions, a gorgeous winter celebration centrepiece. Tickets €20pp includes materials & take home wreath
The Opera Workshop – The Countess Salon | 15th October/ 12th November/ 10th December | 8pm
Introducing the Countess de la Rose a charming, witty, rich and recently widowed countess who loves to host musical evenings.
Her next Opera Salon will be held in the gorgeous Georgian Drawing Room of No 1. Pery Square and you are invited. Meet her handsome and devoted nephew, enjoy glorious singing, but watch out for unexpected and unwanted visitors as the Countess’ past threatens to catch up with her.
Tensions rise, tempers flare, love is lost and found in what promises to be a glorious evening of classic opera, well-known songs and musical highlights, including those by Puccini, Bizet and Mozart. This is a Salon that does not go smoothly for the Countess in a romantic, nostalgic story of star crossed lovers, feuding divas and a pushy tiger mama.
The cast include some of Limerick’s best known singers, including Sarah Ellen Murphy Contralto Soloist Jean Wallace Soprano and Harpist, Kevin Neville bass-baritone, Catriona Walshe and Eve Stafford Soprano Soloistwith piano accompaniment by Irina Dernova,piano. Directed and produced by Shirley Keane this is the first of what promises to be many opera productions in the mid-west for this new Limerick based opera company, The Opera Workshop.
